Pool safety covers are not intended to be walked on, however our covers can hold an enormous amount of weight as long as the normal water level is maintained. After our installation and during our customer orientation, you may see our pool cover specialists walk on the cover to demonstrate the strength of the cover.

We have pictures and videos of wildlife and even a golf cart crossing our covers with no cover damage. See the strength for yourself on our blog.

The following price is a guideline. To get an estimate for your specific pool or a greater idea of what your pool cover may cost, get in touch. Manual pool covers are for small pools or in-ground spas.

Automatic pool cover for a new pool (conventional and infinity edge): starting at $20,000
Automatic pool cover for an existing pool: starting at $15,000, cover only
Manual pool cover: starting at $4,500 to $5,500.

For new pool builds, both conventional and infinity edge, we would encourage you to organize your order through your pool builder.

If you are building a new pool we encourage you to contact your pool builder to organize your order. Pool Patrol will then be able to work directly with the pool builder to install the tracks for your automatic pool cover while your new pool (conventional or infinity edge) is in the construction phase.

If you’re interested in a pool cover for an existing pool, contact us directly.

We have eight standard colours with charcoal gray being the most popular, followed by navy blue. All our colours perform the same and your choice will not impact performance, fading or wear and tear. While darker colour can absorb some heat, we encourage customers to select the colour they prefer the most and matches their backyard colour scheme.

Typically a pool cover fabric will last 7-9 years, depending on how it is cared for and the environment that it is exposed to. Improper water chemistry plays the biggest role in early deterioration.

Fabrics that are cracked, have holes or look generally worn out should be replaced. From a distance the pool safety cover may look fine, but be unsafe. Upon closer inspection we may notice deterioration which can affect performance and safety.

Be sure to inspect your cover and contact Pool Patrol if you have any concerns, or if your cover needs to be replaced.

Typically, once we’ve received a deposit and the order has been finalized, it will take 2-3 weeks to receive delivery. We can then install your pool cover immediately after it arrives. Installation usually takes one day with as little disruption to your backyard enjoyment as possible.
